Oliver Wine Tours

This town is the “Wine Capital of Canada” with more than two dozen wineries surrounding it. Also, it lies in the middle of three distinct Thompson Okanagan winemaking regions.

Most wineries are opened all year round for wine tasting and tours, but some are opened seasonally or by appointment. You can expect to find solid table wines and noble ones such as the reds, whites, roses, sparkling wines or the ice wines, recognized all over the world and having won many awards in competitions.

You can get a wonderful meal at a winery restaurant or you can taste the wine with some local cheese. The views are wonderful, just like the wines.

To the south of Oliver, you will find the Golden Mile wineries. They have clay and sandy soils, and produce a variety of wines such as Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, and Gewurztraminer.

Osoyoos Winery Tours

Osoyoos is the home of the Nk’Mip Cellars that are North America’s first Aboriginal owned and operated wineries. It has some of the oldest wineries, where grapes were planted as early as 1968 and they produce noble wines, recognized worldwide and awarded international prizes.

You will learn everything you want to know about the history of the vineyards and how each type of wine is made. Some Wineries offer gourmet meals and live music, so you can enjoy great tasting seasonal favorites together with your wine.
